• Rosters set at 53: All 32 teams have cut their rosters from their 90-player training camp limit to the mandatory 53.

• Rookies could still move up: Several rookies find themselves further down the depth chart than they will be by the end of the season.

Fantasy football depth charts are a snapshot of where teams currently stand, as they are heavily based on how teams used their players in the preseason and are not a projection of where things are most likely to end up. Several rookies should work their way up the depth charts between now and Week 1.

Arizona Cardinals

Greg Dortch remains a clear fifth on the Cardinals' depth chart: This was a clear trend through the preseason.

  • Dortch didn’t start playing until the middle of the second quarter of preseason Week 2, after Marquise Brown, Michael Wilson and Rondale Moore stopped playing.
  • The Cardinals rested their top four wide receivers in Week 3, which meant Dortch started.
  • In the preseason finale, some teams started some key veterans but only played them a drive or two, but Dortch continued to play into the second quarter.
  • The only good note is that he played in 12 personnel as well as playing in the slot in three-receiver sets, so he isn’t just Rondale Moore’s backup.
  • Dortch is still clearly ahead of everyone lower on the depth chart, so his job isn’t in jeopardy.
