- Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid announced Wednesday that the team has suspended cornerback Marcus Peters one game. In their Week 13 game against the New York Jets, Peters threw an official's flag into the stands, and subsequently left the field during the game.
- Peters was PFF's 11th-ranked cornerback in 2016 with an 84.5 overall grade. His play has slipped a bit this season, and his 80.2 grade in 2017 currently ranks 36th.
- In coverage, Peters is 23rd among cornerbacks allowing 0.87 yards per cover snap, and he has allowed the ninth-most touchdowns this season at four. He has only missed one tackle in 42 attempts, and is 12th among cornerbacks in tackling efficiency.
- Peters will miss the Week 14 game against the Oakland Raiders. Kansas City's other cornerbacks have struggled this season, with Terrance Mitchell ranked 86th of 115 cornerbacks with a 49.8 grade, and Steven Nelson ranked 104th with a 42.4 grade. The recently signed Darrelle Revis will likely get more snaps this week, after recording a 35.1 grade in his first game with the Chiefs in Week 13.
