There are a healthy seven games on Saturday’s slate, and at least four of them should be played up in pace. The 49ers (80 percent), Giants (54 percent) and Panthers (52 percent) all went heavily to the no-huddle last week, and the Saints-Texans matchup promises to produce plenty of plays. The highest DFS scores of the preseason, at least until this point, will likely come on this slate.
Keeping in mind there are two scheduled afternoon kickoffs, here are some DFS picks for Saturday’s preseason action.
Quarterbacks
Tom Savage, Houston Texans: The Saints and Texans combined for 153 snaps last week and their opponents totaled 146. Savage was our sixth-best-graded passer and scored the third-most fantasy points on 43 snaps (fifth-most among quarterbacks). Savage has played well in camp, the Texans feature a deep stable of receiving weapons, and the Saints’ injury-plagued defense was thin to begin with.
