Now that preseason DFS is (sadly) in the rearview mirror, Week 1 of the regular season is basically here. This weekly article will take a look at some of the cash plays that are worth considering as a part of your core on FanDuel. Ownership isn’t particularly a concern in this column, as I’m just looking at simply the best dollar-for-dollar plays you can anchor your lineups around.

Quarterbacks

Quarterbacks we’re targeting in cash games should possess both a high floor and a chance to surpass 3x value. Tyrod Taylor ($6,600) definitely fits the bill as our man who has shown a propensity to play safe, turnover-free football and accrue fantasy points via rushing yardage. Taylor looked sharp coming out the gate in the preseason, completing over 70 percent of his dropbacks. He’s now got a plethora of short-to-intermediate targets at his disposal that can provide yardage after the catch in Jarvis Landry, David Njoku, and Duke Johnson. His matchup here with the Steelers isn’t particularly daunting by any means, facing our seventh-lowest-graded defensive unit last year, according to Premium Stats 2.0. Taylor’s versatility makes him an appealing cash game option at an affordable price.
