Notes
- The exciting thing on offense for the Vikings is going to be the development of Teddy Bridgewater at quarterback. He got his rookie struggles out of the way in the first half of the season, and was our highest graded quarterback over the final five games of the season. Pressure didn't seem to faze him either, as he lead all quarterbacks with an Accuracy Percentage of 75.2% on throws while under pressure.
- They could do with improving the players around him though as, while we don't have any starters as below average, Adrian Peterson is the only starter as a skill position who we have as above average. We know Mike Wallace can be a better than average receiver, but he needs to show that after a disappointing run in Miami.
- The strength of the Vikings defense is up front, with Linval Joseph and Shariff Floyd an impressive duo on the interior. Floyd was our fifth highest graded defensive tackle in 2014, with his quick first step helping him to excel against the run and as a pass rusher. On the edge, Everson Griffen had a strong season, finishing as our 8th highest graded 4-3 defensive end, and registering 64 total pressures.
- How the Vikings open the season at linebacker will be interesting. We've been impressed by Audie Cole when we've seen him, but he seems consigned to the role of backup. While at outside linebacker, we expect to see Chad Greenway open the season as the starter, with Gerald Hodges as the backup. Greenway finished 2014 with a grade of -15.9, while Hodges was at +8.4.
