2015 Depth Charts: Cincinnati Bengals

CIN DC2

Notes

•  If ever there was a player that we wanted to use more than one color for, it's Andy Dalton. His career works out as average, but it's rare that he ever plays like that with a high ceiling and a low floor every week.

•  A.J. Green wasn't a unanimous choice as an Elite player, but when you compare his career to the other receivers that we have in that category, it wouldn't have been fair to keep him out of it.

•  Geno Atkins wasn't up his usual standard last season on his comeback from injury and,if we were basing this solely on last year, it would be tough to say he was even Very Good. Yet his career has seen plenty of Elite play, so we opted to split the difference with the hope that he can prove himself to be Elite once again in 2015.

•  Dre Kirkpatrick was an interesting player to look at, if for no other reason than we haven't seen a whole lot of him on the field. When he's been on the field he has been solid enough though, and it will be interesting to see how he does if he can earn more playing time.

Team Needs

Defensive Tackle: Outside of Atkins, this is a unit that could really do with improving. Domato Peko has disappointed despite seeing plenty of the field, while Brandon Thompson and Devon Still don't look ready for a bigger role.

Wide Receiver: Green is Elite, and Marvin Jones has shown some quality play in stretches in his young career. Beyond that though, some help at the position wouldn't be a bad thing. If nothing else they could do with an upgrade in the slot, with the talented Andrew Hawkins leaving for Cleveland last year.

Defensive End: Losing Michael Johnson last year hurt, even if he didn't play up to his reputation. Neither Wallace Gilberry or Robert Geathers have shown themselves capable of a full-time role, so finding someone opposite Carlos Dunlap would be a big help.
