  • According to Tom Withers of The Associated Press, Cleveland Browns rookie and number-one overall pick Myles Garrett re-injured his left ankle at minicamp on Wednesday and will undergo “numerous tests.” This is the same injury that Garrett had problems with last season and which limited him at OTAs.
  • Garrett was the unanimous top overall prospect in the 2017 NFL draft, ranking as the top overall prospect on the PFF draft big board after ranking inside the top three among edge defenders in overall grades in all three years at Texas A&M.
  • While at college Garrett showed the ability to beat offensive tackles in a variety of different ways, winning frequently to the inside (20 times), outside (20 times) and as a bull rusher (10 times).
  • Garrett consistently ranked inside the top 20 in terms of pass rush productivity (PRP) in his college career among 4-3 defensive ends, leading the nation as a freshman, and ranking 12th and 20th in 2015 and 2016 respectively (PRP measures pressures created on a per snap basis with weighting towards sacks).
