  • The Pittsburgh Steelers announced the release of veteran long snapper Greg Warren with a failed physical designation on Thursday.
  • Warren spent 12 years at the front of the black and gold special teams, and he hasn’t missed a game since the 2009 season.
  • His accuracy on his long snaps decreased in the last few seasons, tripling his inaccurate snaps from 2014 to 2015 and remaining high in 2016.
  • The 35-year-old hasn’t registered a special teams tackle or missed tackle since 2014, but Warren did recover a fumble by New England Patriots punt returner Julian Edelman this past season.
