- ESPN's Mike Reiss expects the Patriots to keep Dion Lewis despite a crowded backfield. Lewis, who has been plagued by injuries throughout his career, will remain in the RB rotation as well as contribute as the primary return man for the Patriots.
- When healthy, Lewis has elite elusiveness. He has forced 56 missed tackles on his last 186 touches, by far the highest rate in the NFL. In 2015 alone he forced 43 missed tackles on 85 touches.
- In 2015, Lewis was very effective in the passing game, producing 2.01 yards-per-route-run, eighth in the NFL among 56 running backs with at least 24 targets. His receiving grade of 80.3 ranked 10th.
- Lewis graded as the 22nd-best overall RB in 2015 out of 69 eligible.
