  • Young started eleven games on the outside after opening the first five games of the 2016 campaign in a rotational role working against the slot. The challenge didn’t prove too big for him, and he ended the season with a 79.8 coverage grade, the best of all Ravens corners. His performance in the 2016 season earned Young an honorable mention on PFF’s best players under 25 at every defensive position list.
  • Young led all Ravens corners in passes broken up (six), tackles (48) and stops (25 – solo tackles that lead to an offensive failure) while also picking up both a fumble recovery and a blocked extra point which he returned for a score.
  • Young surrendered only 0.98 yards per cover snap last season, which was second among the league’s rookie cornerbacks. His overall grade of 80.3 ranked him the third highest rookie cornerback.
