  • After staying away from OTAs, New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. is expected to attend the team’s mandatory minicamp next week, according to ESPN’s Jordan Raanan.
  • Beckham Jr. has been among the best wide receivers in the league ever since entering the NFL, grading inside the top 12 in each of his first three seasons, including his rookie campaign when he earned the highest grade at his position with 92.3.
  • While the Giants wide receiver has been a top player for his entire career, his performance slightly dropped in each of the past two seasons, as his yards per route run gradually declined from 2.75 in 2014 to 2.27 in 2016.
  • In addition, whereas he dropped only six passes in his first two seasons, he was unable to haul in 11 catchable passes in 2016, including three drops in New York’s Wild Card game loss against the Green Bay Packers.
  • On the other hand, the former LSU wide receiver has also shown progress in at least one facet of the game, as he forced 30 missed tackles after the catch last year, while forcing just 28 missed tackles over the first two seasons of his career.
