during the second quarter of the home opening NFL game between the Los Angeles Rams and the Seattle Seahawks at Los Angeles Coliseum on September 18, 2016 in Los Angeles, California.

  • Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay said Tuesday that edge rusher Robert Quinn recently had “minor” surgery on his right hand. Quinn's hand is currently in a cast, but according to McVay he should be ready for the team's training camp at the end of July.
  • Quinn was the Rams first round pick in 2011, and after some great seasons, has been slowed by various injuries the past two years. He only played nine games and 370 snaps in 2016, and eight games with 349 snaps in 2015.
  • 2013 was Quinn's breakout season as he lead the NFL with 19 sacks and 91 total QB pressures. He also had 25 run stops, sixth among 4-3 defensive ends that year. Quinn's overall grade of 98.8 in 2013 tied with J.J. Watt for the highest grade of any player that year.
  • Quinn remained productive in 2014 as his PFF grade of 84.9 was 14th among edge rushers. Before injuries ended his season early in 2015, he ranked 21st with a 83.7 grade. Quinn struggled to regain his form in 2016, his 60.6 grade was the lowest since his rookie season.
