Lane Johnson believes Eagles OL could be best

Following this week’s OTA practices, Eagles right tackle Lane Johnson said that the team has a chance to have the best offensive line in the league in 2017.
The unit was the most consistent part of Philadelphia’s offense last year. They allowed 146 total pressures (ninth least) in 662 pass blocking snaps. Their 82.8 pass blocking efficiency was sixth best in the league in 2016.
Johnson, fellow tackle Jason Peters, and right guard Brandon Brooks were the team’s standouts last season. Peters (88.3 grade) and Johnson (87.9) both ranked in the top ten among offensive tackles. Brooks’ 88.2 overall grade was fourth highest among guards.
The three offensive linemen also rank inside the top six in individual pass blocking efficiency at their respective positions.
Jason Kelce will seemingly return as the team’s starting center, meaning four starters will remain intact going into 2017. 2016 third-rounder Isaac Seumalo is the favorite to start at left guard.
The Eagles will also have the second highest average salary cap hit for starting offensive linemen in 2017.
