- Washington Redskins cornerback Josh Norman will follow opposing teams number one wide receivers in 2017 according to defensive coordinator Greg Manusky.
- In 2015, Josh Norman had a breakout campaign, earning the 3rd highest cornerback grade of the season at 87.9. That year Norman allowed just 0.66 yards per cover snap ranking second out of 79 eligible corners. Norman also allowed a league low 54.0 passer rating against and was a huge part of the Panthers run to the super bowl.
- Norman took a small step back with his new team in 2016, earning an overall grade of 82.0, which ranked 22nd out of 111 corner backs that played at least 325 snaps. Norman only allowed a reception every 13.5 cover snaps which ranked tied for fifth overall.
- Since 2012, Norman has allowed fewer yards per coverage snap (0.97) than all but three other cornerbacks. He has played 2479 coverage snaps over that stretch.
