  • Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press expects Graham Glasgow to win the Lion’s starting left guard job. His major competition for the job is 2015 first-round pick Laken Tomlinson.
  • Splitting his time between LG (57 percent of snaps) and center (43 percent), Glasgow had an underwhelming rookie season. His 42.1 overall grade would have ranked 70th out of 73 eligible guards and 37th out of 38 eligible centers.
  • As a rookie, Glasgow struggled very much in pass protection and his 93.9 pass-blocking efficiency ranked 72nd among guards (min. 180 pass-block snaps). He allowed 22 total pressures on just 273 pass-blocking snaps while at guard. He earned a 52.6 pass-block grade.
  • In contrast, in 2016 Laken Tomlinson earned a 75.2 pass-blocking grade to go with his 96.1 PBE.
