  • When asked of the realistic expectations for New York Giants rookie tight end Evan Engram, Lance Medow of giants.com suggested that Engram could see “between 40 to 50 receptions and between 400 and 500 receiving yards.”
  • In college in 2016, he averaged 2.59 yards per route run, ranking first of 75 tight ends in the nation with at least 25 targets. His overall grade of 81.5 ranked fifth of 101 tight ends. Engram logged 65 receptions at Ole Miss in 2016, leading all receivers on his team.
  • In 2016, tight ends saw just 18.2 percent of Eli Manning’s 598 attempts. Engram will hope to see the majority of his targets come in the red zone, where he logged seven receptions from eight targets for 71 yards and four touchdowns in 2016. When targeting Engram in the red zone, Ole Miss quarterback Chad Kelly had a passer rating of 143.2.
