- Los Angeles Chargers CB Jason Verrett, who was held out of OTAs and minicamp, is hopeful of being ready for the start of training camp, according to Eric D. Williams of ESPN. Verrett missed the majority of last season after suffering a partially torn ACL.
- Last season, Verrett only featured in four games and played only 260 snaps. His PFF overall grade of 63.6 would have been the lowest of his career if he had played enough to qualify.
- Verrett had a great start to his career with grades of 84.9 and 89.9 in his first two seasons. His PFF overall grade of 89.9 in 2015 was the second-best grade among all cornerbacks that season, and his coverage grade of 90.5 also ranked second among all cornerbacks.
