- According to the Santa Rose Press Democrat’s Grant Cohn, 49ers edge defender Aaron Lynch has reported to the team 20 pounds overweight and he could find himself as a possible cut.
- Injuries and a four-game suspension limited Lynch to just 222 snaps in 2016, which led to the worst performance of his career. His 50.3 overall grade and 44.4 pass-rush grade were both career-lows.
- Lynch has shown ability in the past and his 62 pressures in 2015 were the sixth-most among 3-4 OLBs. His pass-rush productivity of 14.0 ranked fourth.
- Lynch’s 2015 overall grade of 80.8 ranked 30th among all edge defenders and was also a career high.
