Worthy

Worthy spent the past three seasons as a starting wide receiver for Texas, running plenty of routes mixed with a high target rate and winning with his speed. Worthy ran a record-breaking 4.21-second 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine, which left his cleats on display at the Pro Football Hall of Fame. He unsurprisingly was given the “best long speed” title in our wide receiver superlatives.

He played 19 of a possible 24 snaps with the starters during the pre-season, making it clear he will have a large role in the Chiefs offense immediately.

The big reason to get excited for Worthy is that he is playing for Andy Reid and with Patrick Mahomes, two future Hall of Famers. There have been plenty of fast wide receivers in the past 15 years, but very few have found success in the NFL. The only wide receivers with a 40 time of 4.3 seconds or less and a PFF receiving grade above 70.0 are Tyreek Hill and Randy Moss. Hill spent the start of his career with Reid as his head coach and Mahomes as his quarterback. If Worthy can be anywhere close to as good as Hill was, it would be great for his fantasy potential.
