Pollard earned the second-best rushing grade among running backs over 2021 and 2022, despite being a backup to Ezekiel Elliott. His 5.3 yards per carry and 3.7 yards after contact per carry both ranked second among running backs with at least 200 carries, behind only Nick Chubb. He was also top 10 in avoided tackles per attempt and first-down rate.

Pollard noted it wasn’t until Week 11 that he felt back to his normal self. Before then, he had a 65.8 PFF rushing grade, 3.9 yards per attempt, 2.7 yards after contact per attempt, 0.09 avoided tackles per attempt and a 20% first-down rate. From Week 11 until the end of the season, Pollard had a league-leading 90.8 PFF rushing grade, 4.2 yards per attempt, 3.3 yards after contact per attempt, 0.28 avoided tackles per attempt and a 24% first-down rate. His 92.3 PFF rushing grade over the past three seasons is the top mark among running backs who have played more than one season.

Pollard has top-five potential in fantasy football, but a lot is working against him, including Tyjae Spears, the offensive line and a potentially pass-happy offense. He needs to get drafted after everyone who has a clear path to a feature back role or is playing everything but first downs. Still, Pollard is talented enough to be one of the top running backs selected from a committee.
