Hall is excellent on perfectly blocked plays, but oddly enough, he averaged more yards per carry against stacked boxes (eight or more defenders in the box) than he did against light boxes (seven or fewer).
•
This year, the Jets should have Aaron Rodgers at quarterback for more than four snaps. This will be the biggest factor in Hall's usage this year. From 2018 to 2022, the Green Bay Packers (Hackett's former team) ranked 10th in total targets and target rate to running backs. So, it wouldn’t be surprising if Hall’s target rate decreases a bit and the Jets pass the ball more than they did last season.
•
Hall is worthy of being a first-round fantasy pick, given his talent and the Jets' commitment to him. But while most first-round picks are relatively “safe” options, Hall is not because of the unknowns around Aaron Rodgers and the offensive line. If things go well, he could finish the season as the RB1 and potentially lead all running backs in rushing and receiving yards. However, the team could also put the ball in Rodgers' hands more and in Hall's hands less, and the tackles could show their age, which are situations that would drag Hall out of the position's top 10.
