Aiyuk joined the ranks of the elite wide receivers last season. His 92.3 receiving grade ranked second-best for all wide receivers last season, only behind Tyreek Hill. It was a higher season grade than CeeDee Lamb, Justin Jefferson, Amon-Ra St. Brown or Ja’Marr Chase have ever accomplished in a single season.

If Aiyuk is traded, his fantasy value will depend on the amount of competition he faces, the coaching and the quarterback. Chances are, the quarterback won’t be as bad as Jimmy Garoppolo was at throwing deep and not as good as Brock Purdy. Over the last four seasons, Purdy has the fourth-best deep pass accuracy at 48.3% and Garoppolo has the 10th-worst.

Aiyuk has finished among the better fantasy wide receivers in recent years, and we can expect more of the same if he stays with the 49ers. There are clear limitations in San Francisco thanks to the number of great players the 49ers have on offense preventing him from being considered among the top five, but a trade could free him up for an elite season.
