Today, the Pro Football Focus you know and love has taken its product to the next level. That new level includes additional content, premium membership, a new-look design, and, of course, an entire section devoted to fantasy football.
That last part is where we come in. You already know that ProFootballFocus.com analyzes every game and grades every player on every play. Here at PFF Fantasy, we plan to use that data to provide you with fantasy content that you cannot find anywhere else on the web. And the best part? For the time being, all fantasy content is absolutely free. Down the road, you'll have the opportunity to purchase a Draft Guide and sign up for premium membership, but right now our goal is to get everyone acquainted with our innovative fantasy football content.
Although the site is launching today, the staff of PFF Fantasy has been hard at work for months. Dozens of articles have already been posted to the site and you can view them by paging through the archives.
PFF Fantasy also has a long list of in-season articles you can expect to see each week of the NFL season. You’ll see columns such as “Rookie Blitz,” “ValueTown,” “Things you should know,” and “Star/IDP Matchup.” You’ll also see our version of popular articles such as “Waiver Wire,” “Stock Market,” and “Sit/Start.” We will also have weekly fantasy reports on all 32 teams in our “Divisional Reports” articles and three of our talented writers will discuss various topics in a weekly roundtable feature. You can expect to see each of these articles and much, much more throughout the entire NFL season.
PFF Fantasy will also supply you with complete offensive projections and player rankings throughout the 2010 season using the projection model created by PFF Fantasy Managing Editor Mike Clay. And not only will we be covering the offensive side of the ball, PFF Fantasy Business Manager and IDP expert Kevin Greenstein will be leading a group of writers who will use Pro Football Focus’s unique data to provide the best IDP coverage on the web.
We will also provide offensive, defensive, and special teams depth charts, which will also show projected playing time for each player. This is just another feature of PFF Fantasy that you won’t find anywhere else on the web.
I’ve only scratched the surface of what you can expect to see from PFF Fantasy in Year 1. Our team of writers, which includes Bryan Fontaine, Daniel Smith, Andy Miley, Akshay Anand, Mike Suttner, Thomas Sharkey, Jon Dove, Tyler Loechner, Jason Madson, Colin Davidson, Matt Bower, Tony Bosma, and Jeffrey Ratcliffe, is already hard at work, and we’re all looking forward to bringing you the best Fantasy Football content on the web.
We hope to see all of you on the site every day, reading our content, leaving comments, arguing with us in the forums, and, of course, gloating about your league title.
Your new best friends,
PFF Fantasy Editors Mike Clay and Kevin Greenstein
