The only scoring of the first half was a Blair Walsh field goal as time expired in the second quarter. Both teams would heat up in the second half however, as the Packers beat the Seahawks 17-9.
RB Ty Montgomery would score a rushing touchdown, Jordy Nelson would catch a touchdown pass from QB Aaron Rodgers and the Packers would add a field goal. The Seahawks could only add two more field goals to their score, losing 17-9 to the Packers. With that, we give you our PFF exclusive takeaways from the contest for each team.

After a slow start for the Green Bay offense, Rodgers found a much better rhythm in the second half. He had a couple of his vintage special throws, whether squeezing a crossing route into a tight window or hitting WR Jordy Nelson with a strike for a touchdown down the seam. However, there were also a couple of poor decisions, first a pass right to DT Nazair Jones for an interception and another floated deep ball that gave FS Earl Thomas an interception opportunity (not the one on the free play). Rodgers finished the game 27-for-35 for 285 yards and a 97.9 passer rating from a clean pocket but only 1-for-8 including four sacks (passer rating of 40.6) when facing pressure.
WR Jordy Nelson, 81.8 overall grade
Nelson was Rodgers' go-to guy all afternoon, catching 7-of-8 targets for 79 yards, including the 32-yarder for a touchdown. While the yardage isn't eye-popping, Nelson consistently moved the chains in the short game, with five of those seven catches going for either a first down or a score.

The Packers' highest-graded player was a big reason the Seattle passing game was tough to get anything going and set the tone with a pressure on the first snap of the game. Perry lined up against LT Rees Odhiambo, finishing the day with 1 sack, 2 QB hits, and 3 QB hurries.
DI Mike Daniels, 86.6 overall grade
Daniels was a terror for the interior part of the Seahawks line, disrupting many zone running plays in the backfield before they could develop. Daniels filled the stat sheet with 2 sacks, 3 QB hurries, 6 tackles, 6 solo stops, and a forced fumble on Russell Wilson in the pocket that lead to the Packers first score early in the third quarter.

QB Russell Wilson, 75.1 overall grade
Wilson was under duress on 39.4 percent of his dropbacks as the hoped-to-be-improved Seattle offensive line was outmatched up front. Wilson made a nice throw on a scramble deep crosser to Doug Baldwin for 34 yards at the end of the half to help spark the offense and get a field goal on the board at the end of the first half. Wilson found a little bit of a rhythm in third and fourth quarter but could not do enough to get the ball in the end zone as the Packers controlled to ball for nearly 12 minutes in the fourth quarter.
LT Rees Odhiambo, 29.8 overall grade
It was a tough day for Odhiambo, who is replacing George Fant in the lineup after a preseason injury sent Fant to IR. Lining up for much of the game against experienced pass-rusher Nick Perry, Odhiambo surrendered 1 sack, 2 QB hits, and 3 QB hurries as the passing game struggled to get in to a rhythm for the majority of the game.
FS Earl Thomas, 86.8 overall grade
Thomas was all over the field, making plays close to the line of scrimmage when lined up in the box and doing his usual fine work when patrolling center field on the back end. He picked up a team-high five stops, closing quickly on underneath passes while getting dirty in the run game. Thomas nearly came down with an interception on an errant Rodgers' deep ball and he ensured that Rodgers' free play late in the fourth quarter was not completed as he tracked it down for the negated interception.
CB Shaquill Griffin, 44.9 overall grade
Pressed into action after starting RCB Jeremy Lane was ejected, Griffin had some positive moments but looked like a rookie at for the most part. He was targeted nine times, allowing six official catches for 52 yards, though he also picked up two defensive holding penalties along the way. Griffin also showed his potential with two pass breakups, both on back-shoulder throws, but he gave up six first downs on the game (including the penalties) and got bailed out of another one on a Rodgers overthrow.
