- Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Jameis Winston told NFL.com he is eager to see just how improved the Bucs’ passing attack will be in 2017 with the acquisition of WR DeSean Jackson in the offseason.
- Jackson led the NFL in 2014 and 2016 with the most yards on deep passes (passes targeted 20 or more yards downfield) with 600 yards in 2014 and 579 yards last season. In fact Jackson has finished in the top-10 five times in his nine-year NFL career for yards on deep passes, and has never finished lower than 35th.
- With an overall PFF grade of 77.0 last season, Jackson ranked 36th among 115 wide receivers, which was his lowest graded season since 2011. Jackson’s grades have steadily declined since the 2013 season, falling from an 85.6 overall grade that year to a 77.0 grade in 2016.
