- In a story by Childs Walker of the Baltimore Sun, Ravens safety Eric Weddle discussed how the addition of Tony Jefferson to the Ravens secondary makes playing the position easier.
- Jefferson joined the Ravens this offseason after leading all safeties with a run-stop percentage of 10.5 percent when lined up within eight yards of the line of scrimmage. Jefferson also led all safeties with a run-stop percentage of 7.8 percent regardless of where he was lined up.
- Signing Jefferson gives the Ravens two of the top five graded safeties in the NFL from 2016. Jefferson (88.6) ranked fifth, while Weddle (92.4) was the highest-graded safety in football last year.
