- Second-year Washington receiver Josh Doctson is said to have fully recovered from an Achilles injury that sent him on IR after only 31 snaps played in 2016.
- Before being selected 22nd overall by Washington in the 2016 draft, Doctson was PFF’s highest-ranked receiver in college football in his final year at TCU.
- Despite the additions of Terrelle Pryor and Brian Quick in free agency, Docston will be asked to step up to cover for the loss of Pierre Garçon and Desean Jackson, who together accounted for 33 percent of the team’s catches in 2016.
- In 2015, he ranked first in yards per route run (4.08), and proved to be extremely efficient in the deep passing game (20-plus yards downfield) with 17 receptions on 32 targets (19 deemed catchable) for a 53.1 percent catch rate (third-best in 2015), scoring 9 TDs.
