Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater could play this preseason

After missing all of 2016 with a knee injury, there is hope that Minnesota Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater can play in 2017. According to Bob Lurtsema “He’ll play in the preseason. He’s throwing sharp.”
If Bridgewater can return to form after his injury, the Vikings would be getting a big-time player back. In 2015, Bridgewater was PFF’s 15th highest graded quarterback with an 82.6 grade. In his rookie season, he excelled earning an 86.8 grade, 12th best among 39 qualifying quarterbacks.
Precision is Bridgewater’s game. In 2015, he was the most accurate passer in the NFL having an adjusted completion percentage of 79.3, while in his rookie year he was third best in the NFL with 77.3 percent of his throws being accurate.
Bridgewater’s accuracy took a dive when he was under pressure, however. While he was kept clean in 2015, he completed 75.7 percent of his passes, but when under pressure he completed just 50 percent of his throws.
Coming off a major knee injury, the Vikings offensive line will have to improve their ability to protect him. No quarterback was pressured more in 2015 as Bridgewater was under pressure on 46.9 percent of his drop backs. In 2016, as a unit the Vikings offensive line ranked 23rd with a 75.5 pass blocking efficiency.
