  • According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, WR Torrey Smith isn’t a lock for a starting role for the Philadelphia Eagles. With Nelson Agholor flashing at OTAs, Smith isn’t guaranteed a top-three receiver spot.
  • Last season Smith only played 646 snaps, which was a career low for the wide receiver. His PFF overall grade of 46.1 was the worst of his career and ranked 114th out of 115 qualifying wide receivers. Agholor was the only receiver with a worse qualifying grade.
  • Smith’s production has dropped off since the receiver left Baltimore and joined the 49ers. In his four seasons with the Ravens, Smith had grades of 72.4 (2011), 76.8 (2012), 74.1 (2013) and 74.3 (2014), compared to his two seasons in San Francisco where he had grades of 66.8 (2015) and 46.1 (2016).
  • While with the Ravens, Smith developed a reputation as a deep threat target. Smith ranked inside the top 30 between the 2011-2015 seasons for yards on deep passes. His best season came in 2012 when he ranked seventh with 425 receiving yards on deep passes and tied second hauling in five touchdown passes on deep passes.
