- According to The MMQB's Albert Breer, the New York Jets have discussed trading wide receiver Eric Decker to the Baltimore Ravens, and other unnamed teams. Decker has been rumored to be traded or released by the team in the near future.
- Decker was signed by the Jets as a free agent in 2014 after spending the first four years of his career in Denver. He only appeared in three games in 2016, playing only 210 snaps, and then was placed on injured reserve with a shoulder injury.
- 2015 was Decker's best season with the Jets, his overall PFF grade of 82.7 ranked him 20th out of 121 qualifying wide receivers. He was fifth in the NFL that season in yards per route run from the slot among receivers with at least 300 slot routes run at 1.80.
- The Ravens are looking for wide receiver help after the retirement of Steve Smith this offseason. Both the Ravens and Jets ranked in the bottom half of the NFL in total yards per route run from their wide receivers in 2016.
