  • Pittsburgh Steelers LB Ryan Shazier feels he can become an All Pro if he can stay healthy and play all 16 games. Speaking to ESPN, Shazier said “I feel like I have the capability of being one of the best players in the NFL. People can’t really see what I can do when I’m not on the field. Your best ability is availability.”
  • Shazier totalled 18 pressures on 108 pass-rush snaps last season, which ranked six among 57 qualifying linebackers for a pass-rush productivity (PRP) of 13.2 (PRP measures pressure created on a per-snap basis with weighting toward sacks).
  • One area Shazier will need to improve is his tackle efficiency. With a combined tackle efficiency of 5.2 last season, Shazier ranked 62nd among 64 qualifying linebackers, missing 11 tackles in the run game and a further nine in the passing game.
  • Shazier played 965 snaps last season including playoffs, which was a-career high despite missed three games with a sprained MCL. His 13 games played last season were the most he has managed in a single season in his three-year career.
