- New Orleans Saints former top-15 pick S Kenny Vaccaro is not happy with how his career has gone thus far and is driven to become better in 2017, as reported by Josh Katzenstein of NOLA.com.
- Vaccaro has led the Saints defensive backs in run-stop percentage — the percentage of a player’s run defense snaps where he was responsible for a stop — in three of his four years in the league (5.6 percent in 2016). His run-defense grade of 80.6 in 2016 ranked 24th in the NFL.
- His coverage skills are something that he needs to improve on if he is to take his game to a Pro Bowl level; Vaccaro ranked in the bottom-three in each of PFF’s signature coverage stat among safeties in 2016. He ranked second-to-last in cover snaps per reception (9.6), third-to-last in yards per cover snap (1.14), and second-to-last in cover snaps per target (7.2).
