Refocused: Seattle Seahawks 20, Minnesota Vikings 13

WR Kasen Williams continued having a big preseason with an early touchdown from QB Russell WIlson. QB Sam Bradford and WR Stephon Diggs were also in sync early, connecting for a 39 yard gain.

A second Wilson touchdown pass to RB Michael Davis in the first half gave the Seahawks a lead they would not relinquish, with the game finishing 20 to 13. With that, we give you our PFF exclusive takeaways from the contest for each team.

QB Russell Wilson, 80.3 overall grade

Quarterback Russell Wilson was in regular season form as he was excellent under pressure, going 6/7 for 146 yards and a touchdown. Wilson was also efficient on the deep ball completing 2/3 for 59 yards.

WR Doug Baldwin, 78.2 overall grade

In limited action WR Doug Baldwin was targeted four times, catching all four on his way to 69 yards receiving. Playing only 13 snaps, Baldwin amassed 36 yards after the catch.

ED David Bass, 86.9 overall grade

Bass had 1 hit, 2 hurries and 1 batted pass on his 24 pass-rush snaps against the Vikings. Bass also added a run stop and looked solid throughout his 28 snaps on the night.

CB Neiko Thorpe, 80.8 overall grade

Thorpe was thrown at 3 times against the Vikings and only allowed one catch for 14 yards and only 3 yards after the catch. Thorpe also broke up one pass and had a team-high 80.7 coverage grade. Vikings’ quarterbacks only had a 49.3 quarterback rating when throwing into Thorpe’s coverage.

TE Bucky Hodges, 81.6 overall grade

The rookie tight end Hodges caught both of his two targets for 54 yards and a touchdown. Vikings’ quarterbacks had a 158.3 quarterback rating when throwing to Hodges. The Vikings hope Hodges can become the move tight end that can keep making plays in the regular season.

WR Stefon Diggs, 80.9 overall grade

Diggs caught 4 of his 5 targets against 3 different coverage defenders. Vikings quarterbacks had a 118.8 quarterback rating when throwing at Diggs. Diggs also added 15 yards after the catch.

DI Jaleel Johnson, 86.3 overall grade

The Vikings fourth-round pick Jaleel Johnson was a force against the run, recording five stops on 15 run defensive snaps. Johnson also had a game high run defense grade of 90.4.

Jayron Kearse, 83.7 overall grade

FS Jayron Kearse was targeted three times in coverage, he allowed one completion and recorded two pass breakups. Kearse was also solid when playing in the box, recording a run defense grade of 81.4.
