- Cleveland Browns wide receiver coach Al Saunders praised Duke Johnson, saying he catches the ball as well as any wide receiver on the team. In his first two years in the league, Johnson has collected 114 receptions on 138 total targets for a catch percentage of 82.6.
- Johnson finished the 2016 season with a receiving grade of 76.9, which ranked ninth out of 52 qualifying running backs.
- Johnson’s 1.86 yards per route run ranked fourth of all running backs in 2016. He forced 21 missed tackles after the catch, which was second most of any running back last season.
