- The Los Angeles Rams have signed veteran QB Dan Orlovsky to a one-year contract. Orlovsky, who will be 34 by the start of the season, will join Jared Goff and Sean Mannion as the quarterback contingent on the Rams roster.
- Orlovsky last saw the field in 2015 with the Detroit Lions, where he played 48 snaps filling in for an injured Matthew Stafford. 2015 marked his third highest snap total in a single season. A long time backup quarterback, Orlovsky has seen just two seasons of over 350 snaps (2008 and 2011).
- In 2011, his last season with extensive playing time, Orlovsky finished with an adjusted completion percentage of 72.5, ranking 14th out of 36 qualifying quarterbacks. However, he fared very poorly under pressure, finishing with the fourth-worst passer rating in such situations (38.7).
