Final Score

Denver Broncos 20, Arizona Cardinals 7

Denver Broncos

The story of the night for the Broncos' defense was their defensive line. They kept the Arizona quarterbacks uncomfortable all night. Malik Reed led the group with two sacks on the night.

A few notable Broncos continued their strong preseason campaigns in tonight's game. Mike Purcell made numerous stops in the run game at and behind the line of scrimmage, while DreMont Jones and Demarcus Walker contributed to the successful pass-rush.

Rookie Takeaways

Dre'Mont Jones continues to impress as an interior pass-rusher, and Malik Reed is proving all that doubted him because of his size that he may hold his own in the NFL.

Arizona Cardinals

With Kyler Murray getting the preseason finale off, Arizona's starting offense failed to get anything going. The unit had difficulty keeping drives alive, and the few big plays that it seemed to put together were mitigated by turnovers and penalties. KeeSean Johnson was somewhat of a highlight, as the rookie caught all four of his targets for 19 yards.

The Drew Anderson to A.J. Richardson connection proved to be the only bright spot for the Cardinals' offense tonight. The duo put together the single scoring drive for Arizona with a pair of completions for 49 yards and a touchdown.

Rookie Takeaways

KeeSean Johnson didn't do much in this one, but his preseason as a whole has been good enough to earn him a roster spot. He should see a rotational role early in Arizona's offense.
