Final Score

New Orleans Saints 19, Los Angeles Chargers 17

New Orleans Saints

New Orleans' do-it-all playmaker Taysom Hill starred under center against the Bolts' defense on Sunday. The former BYU signal-caller earned positive marks scrambling with his feet and throwing deep down the field.

Rookie seventh-rounder Kaden Eliss recorded multiple defensive stops and a handful of pressures against Los Angeles' banged-up offensive line. The next step for the former Idaho product is to prove he can do much of the same against better competition moving forward.

Los Angeles Chargers

Kyzir White, a second-year off-ball linebacker out of West Virginia, made multiple highlight-reel plays against New Orleans' offense. Earning positive marks in coverage and run defense, White had multiple tackles and multiple defensive stops in addition to his zero missed tackles.

Bolts' Dan Feeney and Forrest Lamp, two high-profile interior offensive linemen drafted in 2017, turned in stellar performances in pass protection on Sunday. The duo wasn't perfect in the run game, but their collective efforts as pass-blockers were strong.

New Orleans Saints

Tight ends Jared Cook and Josh Hill both earned low grades in this one. The duo combined for just one reception for four yards from three targets, and Cook finished the contest with a drop.

Second-year defensive interior Taylor Stallworth recorded a missed tackle and several negative marks in run defense on his way to an overall underwhelming performance on Sunday.

Los Angeles Chargers

Veteran linebacker Nick Dzubnar, an undrafted free agent out of Cal Poly signed in 2015, didn't have a great game against New Orleans. He recorded zero defensive stops, a missed tackle and allowed a first down in coverage.

Chargers offensive tackle Sam Tevi struggled in pass protection in 2018, and not much has changed. He allowed multiple pressures and committed a penalty in limited action.
