Final Score
San Francisco 49ers 17, Dallas Cowboys 9
San Francisco 49ers
Jalen Hurd finished the night with three receptions for 31 yards and two touchdowns. He very much looked the part running as the 49ers' big slot against Dallas.
Battling for a depth spot on the 49ers' roster, Center Wesley Johnson made a good first impression with his efforts against Dallas on Saturday. Johnson performed well in pass protection and earned positive grades as a run-blocker.
Dallas Cowboys
Backup quarterback Cooper Rush didn't light San Francisco's defense on fire, but he did have some nice throws and avoided mistakes for the most part. He completed 16-of-26 passes for 146 yards on the night.
Reserve tackle Cameron Fleming didn't have a great night as a run-blocker, but his performance in pass protection was among the team's best against San Francisco.
San Francisco 49ers
Former Florida safety Marcell Harris missed tackles and failed to make up for his mistakes with strong play against the run or in coverage.
Veteran Texas State product David Mayo played well in run defense for San Francisco, but his failure to have a positive impact in coverage dragged his overall performance down.
Dallas Cowboys
Veteran off-ball linebacker Justin March-Lilliard really struggled in this one. He made a handful of mistakes in coverage and failed to leave a better impression in run defense.
Fellow linebacker Chris Covington, a second-year product out of Indiana, also turned in a dismal performance on Saturday. He failed to turn in plus play in coverage, run defense or rushing the passer.
