Nigel Bradham accepts deferred prosecution on battery charge

  • According to ESPN, Philadelphia Eagles LB Nigel Bradham has accepted a deferred prosecution program for his 2016 felony battery charge.
  • Bradham had a strong first season in Philadelphia, earning a career-best 86.5 PFF overall grade, ranking ninth at his position.
  • The former Florida State Seminole was strong in both run defense and pass coverage in 2016. His 24 stops against the run were the seventh-highest total at his position while only missing three tackles.
  • Defending the pass, the 27-year-old allowed only 0.80 yards per coverage snap. This was the third best average among 4-3 outside linebackers.
  • If the conditions set in the prosecution program are met, the case will be dismissed. However, Bradham could still face league discipline for the incident.
