- For a majority of the time on Sunday, Newton was kept clean. He was only pressured on seven out of 31 dropbacks, and he excelled, posting a passer rating of 146.0, which could have been even better if it weren’t for two drops by his teammates.
- On play action passes Newton recorded a perfect quarterback rating of 158.3, with four completions on five attempts, including a touchdown.
