- After an offseason where the Jacksonville Jaguars wanted to move Myles Jack to middle linebacker, head coach Doug Marrone said for at least this upcoming preseason game against the Buccaneers, he will be playing on the outside.
- Playing on the interior was a new experience for Jack, as he didn't play there too much at UCLA, and logged 13.4 percent of his 239 snaps as a rookie on the inside.
- One thing that could have the Jaguars comfortable with a change now is Paul Posluszny's presence on the roster. While Jack very well could be groomed to be the Jaguars long term solution on the inside, Posluszny is coming off a 2016 season where he posted a career-best grade of 87.8 (ranking fourth among all linebackers) while manning the middle.
