- Detroit Lions linebacker Jarrad Davis returned to practice on Wednesday, according to ESPN’s Michael Rothstein. Davis missed his team’s Week 3 game against the Atlanta Falcons after he suffered a concussion in Week 2. Davis has a chance to play on Sunday if he is cleared by both the team and an independent neurologist.
- The rookie linebacker put on his best performance as a pro in his Week 2 outing against the New York Giants. In coverage, he allowed just 15 yards on three targets, and produced three total stops (solo tackles that constitute an offensive failure). He ended the game with a PFF overall grade of 87.8, the highest grade of the game.
- Davis has graded well against the run so far this season, and is currently ranked 11th among linebackers with a run-defense grade of 82.2. The Lions will hope he can get healthy and continue this trend, as the teams prepares to face the Minnesota Vikings and Dalvin Cook in Week 4. After three games of the season, Cook is ranked fourth among running backs with a PFF overall grade of 84.0.
