- Detroit Lions guard Laken Tomlinson may not have a secure roster spot, says Michael Rothstein of ESPN. The Detroit Lions have overhauled the offensive line over the past two offseasons. In 2015 the team drafted three offensive linemen and this offseason they have acquired four via either free agency or trade.
- In 2016 Tomlinson graded 64th out of 72 eligible guards with an overall grade of 49.9, a regression from his rookie campaign in which he earned an overall grade of 66.7.
- Tomlinson’s potential replacement Graham Glasgow did not fare much better, as he earned an overall grade of 42.1. Glasgow’s time was split between both center (329 snaps) and guard (451) in 2016.
