Kaepernick possibly an option for the Ravens

  • According to Jeff Zrebiec, the Baltimore Ravens are exploring the possibility of signing free agent QB Colin Kaepernick. Ravens head coach John Harbaugh has apparently been talking to the quarterback throughout the summer and with the news of Joe Flacco’s injury the Ravens are certainly in need of another quarterback.
  • Kaepernick graded as the 28th best quarterback in 2016 among 34 qualifying passers with an overall PFF grade of 66.5. Despite his struggles as a passer, Kaepernick earned the highest run grade of any quarterback with a run grade of 88.1. He forced 16 missed tackles while running the ball, which were the second most by any quarterback last season.
  • Kaepernick struggled with his accuracy in 2016, his adjusted completion percentage of 71.2 ranked 25th among 37 qualifying quarterbacks last season
