- According to Mike Spofford, Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jordy Nelson is expected to play Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals. Nelson was quoted as saying: “My expectations are to play, but you don’t know what can happen between now and then.” He injured his quad Sunday night in the first quarter against the Atlanta Falcons.
- In Week 1, Nelson was targeted eight times, reeling in all seven of his catchable targets. His 147.4 quarterback rating when targeted this season is the third-highest in the league.
- Nelson’s overall grade of 78.3 has him ranked 16th among 107 qualifying wide receivers. The next-highest-ranked wide receiver on the Packers is Randall Cobb, who currently ranks 45th, with a grade of 72.1.
