  • According to Jim Owczarski of the Cincinnati Enquirer, Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon left practice with a foot injury on Thursday. He was treated by trainers, and returned to watch the remainder of practice from the sidelines. The injury is not considered serious.
  • Mixon was taken in the second round of the 2017 NFL draft after stellar final season at the University of Oklahoma, in which he earned a PFF overall grade of 86.1, the sixth highest grade among 200 qualifying running backs.
  • Mixon was one of the most dangerous runners in college football last season, and on average he forced a missed tackle once every 3.9 touches. His elusive rating of 95.5 ranked eighth of the 69 running backs with at least 175 rushing attempts, and his breakaway percentage (the percentage of yards that come on runs of 15+ yards) of 57.3 percent ranked second.
  • Mixon was also one of the best receiving running backs in college football, and amassed 564 yards through the air. On 199 passing routes, he averaged 2.83 yards per route run, which led the 2017 NFL draft class.
