- Smith showcased his all-around abilities against Pittsburgh, chasing down the ball carrier, recording four defensive stops in the game. His run defense of 87.3 in the game pushed his overall season run defense grade to 90.4, the highest among all linebackers.
- In coverage, Smith was targeted four times by Roethlisberger, but was able to haul in one of the team's five interceptions, which he ran back for a p ick six and one of two Jaguars defensive touchdowns on the day. He limited his four receptions allowed to just 26 yards, 10 of which came after the catch as he has improved his grade in coverage from a season ago.
