HC Joseph says WR McKenzie will be in the backfield

  • Denver Broncos coach Vance Joseph said that rookie WR Isaiah McKenzie will be used all over the field this year, including snaps in the backfield.
  • Last season at Georgia, McKenzie was a force in the slot, as his 2.92 yards per route run when in the slot was ninth out of 190 qualified receivers.
  • McKenzie was also 20th out of 264 receivers in WR rating at 128.6 in 2016.
  • He only carried the ball 19 times last season, but he forced 7 missed tackles within those attempts.
