- Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce has been cleared for the beginning of training camp, according to James Palmer. Kelce has been recovering from shoulder surgery, an operation he had all the way back in February.
- Kelce was one of the more efficient tight ends running routes in 2016, his 2.22 yards per route run were the third-highest among tight ends with a minimum of 101 snaps in route last season.
- Kelce finished the season ranked as the third-best tight end, with an overall PFF grade of 88.2, the best grade in his three-year career. His receiving grade of 88.2 ranked second in 2016, with only Rob Gronkowski earning a higher grade.
- With 114 targets last season Kelce was the fourth-most-targeted tight end. He caught 85 of the passes thrown in his direction for a catch rate of 74.6 percent, the eighth-best mark among tight ends with at least 12 targets.
