- Arizona Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians announced Friday that safety Tyvon Branch will be placed on injured reserve and miss the rest of the 2017 season. Branch injured his knee in the team's Week 10 game against the Seattle Seahawks.
- Branch signed with Arizona in 2016, and was limited to 270 snaps last year after injuring his groin. He currently was in the midst of the best season of his career, as his 88.5 overall PFF grade ranks fourth at safety this year.
- Branch's 14 run stops this season are second among safeties, and his 6.6 percent run-stop percentage ranks fifth. He has only missed three tackles in 70 attempts, and is eighth in tackling efficiency at safety.
- Rookie safety Budda Baker will likely replace Branch in the Cardinals lineup. Baker played 44 snaps against Seattle and was the team's second-highest graded player in Week 10 with an 86.8 game grade.
